Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Please complete this pre-screening questionnaire on behalf of yourself, and anyone else you will be bringing with you to the office for an appointment. If the answer to any of these questions is YES please call our office before coming for your appointment.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

We already, as a daily practice, assure universal precautions as outlined by CDC and OSHA standards of infection control. Safety is always our number one focus. Our high standard of care ensures that your trust and safety are never compromised.

We are taking extended measures to further protect all our patients and team with the following additional protocols:

• In compliance with the recommendations for public health, anyone with a cough or fever, or have been around anyone with cough or fever will not be allowed in the building and should stay home. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date.
• Please arrive exactly 10 mins. prior to your appointment, you will stay in your car instead of the waiting room until we’re ready to seat you in your personal operatory. Simply call us at 614-890-2522 when you arrive, and we will let you know when we’re ready for you. Only the patient will be permitted in the office. Anyone, in addition, will need to wait in their car. We ask you to wear a mask into the office and again when you exit.
• Upon entering Meyers Family Dental, you will have your temperature taken via a temporal thermometer and be asked to sanitize your hands. Our staff and doctor will also have their temperature taken every morning.
• Per the ADA guidelines, we will be performing a pre-screening questionnaire.
• At the beginning of every appointment, you will be asked to pre-rinse with a medicated mouthrinse. The mouth rinse has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties.
• We will be increasing our use of consistent high-speed suction to decrease the use of aerosols throughout your procedure.
• Additionally, we are requesting you sanitize your hands before re-entering the business areas.
